What You’ll Own
- Manually test items as needed to ensure they comply with defined acceptance criteria, have a high degree of quality, and identify any edge cases that may be problems
- As an individual contributor to develop, publish, implement, and maintain test plans
- Plan test schedules in accordance with key delivery dates
- Introduce and build automation tools and strategies; design and develop scalable, reusable, easy-to-maintain and effective testing automation and execution framework
- Contribute to the adoption and success of continuous integration and unit testing practices with the development team
- Document software defects and report defects to software developers
- Actively participate in Scrum events
- Interacts with team to better understand requirements, needs and desired business outcomes
- Creates documentation as requested
Required Experience:
- 1-4 years of experience in both manual and automated software testing, including creating, writing and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts
- Knowledge of SQL, MVC, JavaScript
- Work with API testing tools such as Swagger, Postman, Insomnia
- Experience on an agile Scrum team as a QA tester
- Knowledge of software development tracking systems (Jira, for example)
- Ability to test on a variety of devices, browsers and platforms
- Technical expertise in automating testing through scripting and related tools
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and SDLC
- Strong troubleshooting skills and not afraid to dive in to understand existing code
- Engages in constant improvement, technically and professionally
- Experience with web-based software platforms
